IIE DIGITAL DESDK : May 9, 2025 | New Delhi — Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, renowned fashion designer and daughter of the late actor Rishi Kapoor, recently shared insights into her family's approach to food and wellness. In a candid conversation, she revealed that the Kapoor family does not adhere to strict dieting practices, emphasizing a balanced and indulgent approach to meals.
Speaking to Fit Tak, Riddhima explained, "Diets and Kapoors don't go together. They love their food and do not leave their food. They all eat a balanced diet but I do not think anyone diets in the family. Everyone is a foodie." She highlighted that while the family enjoys their meals, they focus on moderation and balance rather than deprivation.
Riddhima's personal routine reflects this philosophy. She begins her day with a teaspoon of virgin cold-pressed coconut oil, followed by amla prash. For breakfast, she prefers moong dal cheelas accompanied by curd, opting for lighter, protein-rich options over traditional heavy breakfasts like parathas. Despite her disciplined regimen, she believes in occasional indulgence, stating, "If you feel like having something sweet, have it. That's what I do."
Riddhima also shared a glimpse into her maternal home, noting that breakfast there is equally indulgent. She recalled, "There are no parathas, we have cheelas instead. We have a fruit platter, toast, eggs, and all of that. So, it's not heavy duty, but healthier breakfast options." This reflects the family's preference for wholesome, home-cooked meals that are both satisfying and nutritious
Emphasizing the importance of balance, Riddhima stated, "I don't believe in the word diet. Honestly, I don't. Do what makes your soul happy. Eat everything, but eat in moderation. Portion control is the key. Don't deprive yourself of anything." Her approach underscores a sustainable lifestyle that prioritizes well-being without sacrificing the pleasures of food.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni's insights offer a refreshing perspective on wellness, highlighting the importance of enjoying food in moderation and embracing a balanced lifestyle.
