IIE DIGITAL DESK : Arambagh, April 22: West Bengal heads closer to the upcoming Assembly elections, the Left Front organized a large and vibrant roadshow in Arambagh on Wednesday, drawing significant participation from party workers and supporters and adding fresh momentum to its campaign in the region.

The political event was held in support of CPI(M) candidate Bithika Pandit from Arambagh and ISF-supported candidate Sheikh Saddam Hossain from Khanakul. The roadshow began from the party office in Arambagh and passed through several key roads and important junctions of the town, creating a strong visual display of campaign strength.

Throughout the procession, the streets of Arambagh turned into a sea of red flags, banners, and political slogans as enthusiastic supporters joined the march in large numbers. Party workers actively engaged with local residents, appealing for support for Left-backed candidates in the forthcoming elections.

Senior CPI(M) leader Srijan Bhattacharyya was also present during the programme. Addressing supporters, he criticised the prevailing political situation in the state and called for a change in governance. He urged voters to support Left candidates, arguing that they represent an alternative political vision focused on people-centric policies.

The roadshow witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth wings and local party units, reflecting the Left Front’s effort to regain political ground in key constituencies. Party supporters were seen raising slogans throughout the procession, highlighting issues such as employment, governance, and public welfare, which have become central themes in the campaign narrative.

Political observers noted that the timing of the roadshow is significant, as parties across the state intensify their outreach efforts ahead of polling. Arambagh, being a politically active constituency, has emerged as an important battleground where multiple parties are seeking to consolidate support in the final phase of campaigning.
