IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Varanasi, September 10: The special religious ceremony, Tripindi Shraddha, will be organised in Varanasi to pray for the peace and salvation of the souls of people who lost their lives prematurely in the devastating floods in Nepal. The ceremony has been arranged by the Adhyatmik Nyaya Samiti and will be held at Pishach Mochan in the city on Friday.

The religious programme will begin at 10 am and continue until 1 pm. Local residents will also be able to participate in the ceremony and join the prayers being offered for those who died in the natural disaster.

The announcement was made on Thursday at the organisation’s office in Salarpur by Rajkumar Mishra, secretary of the Adhyatmik Nyaya Samiti. He said the sudden floods had caused widespread devastation across several parts of Nepal, severely disrupting normal life and claiming the lives of many people.

Mishra said the organisation decided to arrange the Tripindi Shraddha ceremony as a mark of respect for those who lost their lives in the disaster. The prayers will seek peace for the departed souls and are intended to provide a spiritual tribute to the victims at a time when Nepal continues to cope with the consequences of the devastating floods.

According to the committee, the scale of destruction caused by the floods means that restoring normalcy in several affected areas of Nepal could take considerable time. Communities have suffered loss of life and extensive disruption, leaving families and local populations facing a difficult period of recovery.

The organisers said the religious ceremony is being conducted with the intention of remembering the victims and praying for their spiritual peace and liberation. Tripindi Shraddha holds a significant place in Hindu religious traditions and is performed with the belief that prayers and rituals can help bring peace to departed souls.

The Adhyatmik Nyaya Samiti has invited local residents to participate in the programme and offer their prayers.
