Six Bangladeshi Nationals Detained in Lalgola Near India-Bangladesh Border, Police Launch Probe Into Their Entry

The six men were reportedly found moving around suspiciously in Madhupur under Lalgola police station limits and were taken into custody for questioning.
According to police sources, the operation was conducted after the local police received specific information about the presence of suspected Bangladeshi nationals in the area. Acting on the information, a team from Lalgola police station carried out a search operation in Madhupur during the morning hours.
The operation, officers came across six individuals whose activities raised suspicion. They were stopped and taken to Lalgola police station for detailed questioning and verification of their identities and circumstances.
Police identified the detained individuals as Rubel Sheikh, 36, and Abul Halim, 28, both residents of Chapainawabganj district in Bangladesh. The others were identified as Kabir Sheikh, 31, Mizanur Rahman, 34, and Rimon Ali, 18, all reportedly from Rajshahi district. The sixth individual was identified as Aminul, 39, a resident of Manikganj district.
During preliminary questioning, the six men allegedly told investigators that they had entered India approximately one month ago. However, police have not yet established the exact route through which they crossed into India or the circumstances surrounding their entry.
Investigators are now attempting to determine how the six individuals managed to enter Indian territory and whether they had valid travel or immigration documents. Their statements are being examined as part of the verification process, while officers are also expected to investigate whether there was any organised network involved in facilitating their movement across the border.
