IIE DIGITAL DESK : Xiaomi has announced festive discounts under its “Diwali With Xiaomi” event, trimming prices across several recently launched and popular Redmi phones and accessories in India as it prepares for the peak shopping season. The company has confirmed that the Redmi 15 5G will be offered at a reduced launch price of ₹14,999 on Amazon and the Xiaomi online store, down from its debut price of ₹16,999, signalling a ₹2,000 cut aimed at accelerating early uptake.

Alongside the Redmi 15 5G, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ 5G models are also slated to receive meaningful discounts: the Note 14 Pro is expected to retail at ₹20,999 and the Note 14 Pro+ at ₹24,999 during the sale, significantly lower than their current listed prices of ₹24,999 and ₹30,999 respectively on the company website. These reductions place the devices in sharper competition with other mid-range 5G offerings during the festive buying window.

Budget shoppers will see trims too, with the Redmi 14c advertised at ₹8,999 (a ₹1,000 decline from its regular ₹9,999 tag) and the Redmi Buds 5C earbuds listed at ₹1,799 instead of ₹1,999, providing entry-level savings for accessory and first-time smartphone buyers. Xiaomi has published these price points in a series of posts on X and via a microsite for the Diwali sale, though it has not disclosed the exact start date or the duration of the promotional event.

Retail distribution for the discounted models will be split across major platforms: the Redmi 15 5G will be sold through Amazon and Xiaomi’s official store, while the Note 14 Pro series, Redmi 14c and Buds 5C will also be available on Flipkart in addition to those channels — a multi-channel approach that aims to capture customers across the two dominant e-commerce ecosystems in India.

The timing of Xiaomi’s festive offers reflects a broader industry pattern of early Diwali promotions that seek to seize buyer interest before large marketplace events such as Amazon’s Great Indian Festival and Flipkart’s Big Billion Days. For consumers this means compelling short-term savings on new models, but buyers should compare final on-checkout prices after bank or exchange offers and check warranty/service terms; Xiaomi’s announcement so far provides the headline discounted prices but not the complete terms or exact sale window, so prospective purchasers are advised to monitor the official microsite and retailer listings for the launch of the event.
