IIE DIGITAL DESK : The upcoming iQOO 15 is confirmed to launch in India on November 26, heralding a fresh chapter in flagship performance in the Indian smartphone market.
The device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with the brand’s gaming-oriented Q3 computing chip to boost frame-rate stability and enable full-scenario ray tracing — a clear signal that the iQOO 15 is geared toward performance-hungry users. The phone will run on Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 interface out of the box, marking iQOO’s move to bring its premium experience to the Indian market.
On the display front, iQOO has gone all-in: a 2K resolution panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, and reported peak brightness figures reaching up to 6,000 nits in the Chinese variant. In India the variant is expected to retain most of these specifications, emphasising immersive visuals and vibrant clarity even in bright daylight.
Battery and charging also see major upgrades: the in-India model is likely to pack a 7,000 mAh battery, with support for 100 W wired and likely 40 W wireless charging for fast turnaround when topping up. On the optics side, the phone is expected to sport a triple-50 MP rear camera setup — main + ultra-wide + periscope telephoto — plus a 32 MP front camera, aligning with the global model’s configuration.
With India’s launch date now fixed, the iQOO 15 enters a crowded premium segment but comes armed with features that stand out: high-end chipset, ultra-smooth 144 Hz 2K display, massive battery and fast charging, and flagship-level camera hardware. The challenge will be in pricing, local availability and after-sales support — all of which will determine how the device resonates with Indian consumers.
Consumers looking to buy a performance-flagship in late 2025 will find the iQOO 15 a compelling choice. The launch is likely to stir competition among rival brands and could redefine expectations for what premium smartphones offer in India. With the awaited November 26 date on the horizon, all eyes will be on iQOO’s pricing strategy and how the real-world experience compares to the impressive spec sheet.
