West Bengal (July 04,2023) : The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has cancelled the leave of its officers and workers to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming panchayat polls. The polls will be held in three phases on May 3, 10, and 17. "We have cancelled the leave of all our officers and workers to ensure that there is no disruption in power supply during the panchayat polls," said a WBSEDCL official.

The official said that the company has also deployed additional manpower and machinery to monitor the power situation during the polls. "We have also set up control rooms in all the districts to monitor the power situation," the official said. The WBSEDCL has appealed to the people to cooperate with the company and report any power outage to the nearest control room.
