IIE DIGITAL DESK ;  June 4: Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 17T in India, bringing a premium mid-flagship smartphone featuring Leica-tuned imaging, a powerful MediaTek processor, and a large battery aimed at high-performance users.

The device is priced in India starting at ₹59,999 for the base variant, while the higher-end configuration with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at ₹64,999. Buyers can also avail an instant bank discount of ₹5,000, effectively bringing the starting price down to ₹54,999.

The smartphone will go on sale from June 10 at 12 noon through Amazon India, Xiaomi’s official website (mi.com), and offline Xiaomi retail stores across the country.

The Xiaomi 17T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset and is positioned as a performance-focused premium device. It features a Leica-tuned triple rear camera system, including a 50MP primary sensor and a 5x periscope telephoto lens, offering advanced zoom and photography capabilities.

The phone also packs a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for fast charging, ensuring extended usage and efficient power management. Xiaomi highlights strong camera performance as one of the key selling points of this device, along with improved AI imaging features and flagship-level photography enhancements.

The 17T marks the return of Xiaomi’s T-series in India after a gap of several years, signaling the company’s renewed focus on the premium smartphone segment in the Indian market.

With its combination of Leica optics, high-end chipset, and large battery, the Xiaomi 17T competes in the upper mid-range to premium smartphone category, targeting users who prioritize photography, gaming performance, and battery endurance in a single device.
