IIE DIGITAL DESK : OnePlus 15 is set to make its India debut on November 13 2025, marking a significant leap for the brand with a fresh design, a powerful new chipset and a host of features aimed at performance and endurance.

OnePlus is introducing three colour variants for the Indian market — Absolute Black, Misty Purple and Sand Dune.  The build also boasts an updated appearance featuring a square-shaped triple-lens rear camera setup, aligning with the new design direction hinted globally.

Under the hood the OnePlus 15 will be powered by the brand’s first offering featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in India, built on a 3 nm process and tuned for high performance and efficiency.  Complementing this is a 6.78-inch BOE Flexible Oriental OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate — attributes that target heavy users, gamers and multimedia fans alike.

Battery life has been hammered as a key upgrade: the phone is tipped to carry a 7,300 mAh battery — reportedly one of the largest ever in a OnePlus handset. Charging support is expected to include 120W wired and 50W wireless charging (in global variants) though India-specific rates may vary.

Photography gets a major refresh too. The rear system features a triple-50 MP setup (main wide + ultra-wide + telephoto) which aligns with early spec leaks for the Chinese model and hints the Indian variant will follow suit.  On the software front the device will ship with Android 16-based OxygenOS 16.

As for the Indian price point, OnePlus has not yet revealed official numbers, but reports suggest a launch range between ₹65,000 and ₹75,000 (for the base variant) given the high-end specifications and flagship positioning.

With the launch date so close, what this means for Indian consumers and the broader smartphone market is multi-fold. First, OnePlus is doubling down on the premium “performance flagship” segment—highlighting its gaming-centric features (high refresh display, advanced chip, large battery) and positioning itself against rivals. Second, the emphasis on battery size and charging speed suggests an attempt to address one of the biggest user pain-points in high-end phones: endurance. Third, the appearance of a major design revision (new camera layout, new colours, tougher build via the “Sand Storm” finish) signals an effort to refresh brand narrative in a competitive market.

Of course there are variables to watch. Indian pricing will be key: whether the premium features justify the expected ₹65–75 k range in a market sensitive to value will determine the device’s mass appeal. Delivery of claimed specs (especially in battery life and camera real-world performance) will matter. Supply channels, availability of variants, and after-sales service will also influence consumer sentiment.

The OnePlus 15 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious smartphones from OnePlus in India to date—targeting a combination of top-tier performance, premium camera, massive battery and refined design. For users willing to spend in the premium segment and demand high performance, this might be a device to watch. With the launch just days away on November 13, the wait is now for the full reveal and pricing finalisation in India.
