The weather remains warm and humid in Kolkata due to the delayed arrival of the monsoon in the southern parts of the state. On Saturday morning, the minimum temperature in Kolkata was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius, which was 1.4 degrees above the normal level for this time of the year.
The monsoon expected to advance further into South Bengal soon, residents may finally get relief from the prevailing heat and humidity. However, the possibility of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in several regions has prompted authorities to keep a close watch on the changing weather situation.
