IIE DIGITAL: West Bengal is all set to experience the magic of India’s renowned electronic music festival ‘Sunburn’ for the first time, as Mandarmani prepares to host the ‘Sunburn Reload Sundowner’. The event promises to bring together international-style music, breathtaking performances and the charm of the seaside, creating a vibrant celebration for music enthusiasts.

Founded in 2007 by Shailendra Singh under the banner of Percept Live, Sunburn has grown into one of India’s biggest electronic dance music festivals. Traditionally hosted in Goa, the festival has become a major attraction for music lovers from across the globe and has played a significant role in boosting tourism in the region.

Breaking away from its traditional venue, Sunburn is now expanding its footprint beyond Goa, with Mumbai and Bengal emerging as new destinations. The Mandarmani edition will mark the festival’s first appearance in West Bengal, bringing a new dimension to the state’s coastal tourism landscape.

The musical extravaganza will be held at K C View Resort, Mandarmani, on August 16 from noon to 10 pm. Renowned artists including DJ Sartek, DJ Houdini, DJ Rudra, Arkane duo, DJ Antim and DJ Kich will take the stage, promising an energetic night filled with electrifying beats and spectacular performances.

The festival will feature a mix of live acts, immersive stage designs, electronic soundscapes and the natural beauty of the sea, offering visitors an experience that goes beyond a regular music event. Entry will be allowed for attendees above 18 years, with ticket prices ranging from Rs 1,999 to Rs 55,000.

Organisers believe that bringing Sunburn to Mandarmani will not only expand the festival’s audience but also give a fresh boost to Bengal’s tourism sector. The event is expected to benefit local hotels, resorts, restaurants and businesses connected with the hospitality industry.

The initiative comes at a time when coastal destinations in Bengal are receiving increased attention from travellers. With improved facilities and new entertainment options, places like Mandarmani and Digha are gradually emerging as attractive holiday destinations beyond traditional tourism spots.
