IIE DIGITAL DESK : The Rajasthan State Open School (RSOS) has officially announced the results of the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations conducted in 2025. The results were declared on Wednesday, June 19, 2025, in a formal event held at the Shiksha Sankul campus in Jaipur. Rajasthan’s Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, was present at the ceremony and announced the results publicly, bringing relief and anticipation to over one lakh students across the state.

A total of 1,03,004 candidates appeared for the open school board exams this year. This includes 53,501 students in Class 10 and 49,503 students in Class 12. The examinations were conducted in two phases. While the majority of students wrote their exams from April 21 to May 16, certain districts located near the India-Pakistan border—including Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Barmer, Sri Ganganagar, and Jodhpur—saw rescheduled exam dates due to security concerns. In those six districts, the exams were held later, between May 28 and May 30.

The RSOS board, which provides educational opportunities to students outside the regular school system, continues to serve as a crucial bridge for candidates seeking secondary and senior secondary qualifications through an alternative system. This includes working individuals, homemakers, dropouts, and those facing personal or geographic challenges.

The results are now available on the official websites:

Students must log in using their enrollment number, date of birth, and security captcha to access and download their scorecards. It is advisable to retain a printout or digital copy of the mark sheet for further academic or professional use. Official hard copies will be made available later through the respective RSOS study centres.

Initial reports suggest that the overall pass percentage for Class 10 students is approximately 46.1%, while for Class 12, the pass rate is slightly better at 49.1%. Interestingly, female students have once again outperformed their male counterparts. In Class 10, girls recorded a pass rate of 47.7% compared to boys’ 43.1%. In Class 12, the figures are similarly close—49.4% for girls and 48.7% for boys.

To encourage academic excellence among students, the Rajasthan government has also announced a special cash prize initiative. Toppers in both the Class 10 and Class 12 categories will be awarded up to ₹21,000 in recognition of their performance. This initiative aims to motivate students from non-traditional academic backgrounds to continue their education with confidence and pride.

For students dissatisfied with their marks, the RSOS provides a window for re-evaluation. Applications for scrutiny of answer sheets must be submitted within 15 days of result publication, accompanied by a nominal fee per subject. Additionally, those who failed to clear one or more subjects will have the opportunity to appear in supplementary examinations, details of which will be released shortly on the official portals.

Since its inception in 2005, RSOS has emerged as a lifeline for learners who have been unable to complete their education through conventional means. With each passing year, the board sees increased participation, reflecting a growing recognition of alternative education's role in promoting inclusivity and literacy.

The announcement of the results marks not just the end of an academic chapter but also the beginning of new possibilities for thousands of students in Rajasthan. The state government’s commitment to inclusive education continues to pave the way for a more educated and empowered society.
