TMC Leader Arabul Islam, Son Among 21 Named in Murder Case

Bhangar (June 19,2023) : A murder case has been filed against Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Arabul Islam and his son, Sohrab, along with 20 others in connection with the death of an Indian Secular Front (ISF) worker in Bhangar, West Bengal. The ISF worker, identified as Mohammad Mofizul Haque, was allegedly killed by TMC supporters on June 17. He was stabbed multiple times and his body was then set on fire.

The police have registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Arabul Islam, Sohrab, and the other accused. Arabul Islam is a former minister in the West Bengal government and is known for his controversial statements. He has been accused of several crimes in the past, including murder, extortion, and land grabbing.
