IIE DIGITAL DESK ; July 30 : Honor has officially expanded its smartphone portfolio with the global launch of the Honor X6e, a feature-packed budget smartphone that combines a massive 7,500mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra processor. The new handset has debuted in select international markets, with Malaysia becoming one of the first countries to receive the device.

The Honor X6e is positioned as an affordable smartphone for users seeking long battery life, smooth display performance, and reliable day-to-day functionality. It is available in a single 4GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration and is priced at RM 699 (approximately Rs. 16,000). Buyers can choose between two colour options—Midnight Black and Sunrise Gold.

Running MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, the Honor X6e delivers the latest software experience with a range of user-friendly features and system optimisations. The smartphone sports a 6.61-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 720 × 1,604 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling, gaming, and overall navigation. The display also delivers a peak brightness of 1,010 nits, making it easier to view content under bright outdoor conditions.

Honor has equipped the display with Eye Comfort and Dynamic Dimming technologies to reduce eye strain during prolonged usage. The screen is further protected by aluminosilicate glass, adding an extra layer of durability against everyday wear and accidental impacts.

Powering the device is the octa-core MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, paired with an ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU for graphics processing. The smartphone comes with 4GB of physical RAM and 128GB of internal storage, while Honor's virtual RAM technology allows users to expand available memory up to 8GB for improved multitasking performance.

For photography, the Honor X6e features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by a secondary auxiliary sensor. The rear camera system supports up to 10x digital zoom, enabling users to capture distant subjects with greater flexibility.

On the front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, suitable for selfies and video calls. The device also supports 2D facial recognition for convenient unlocking in addition to its built-in fingerprint sensor.

The Honor X6e carries an IP64 rating, providing resistance against dust and water splashes, making it more durable for everyday use. The handset has also received the Swiss SGS Premium Performance Certification for drop and crush resistance, highlighting its enhanced structural durability.

Connectivity features include 5G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, A-GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone is equipped with several onboard sensors, including an ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor to enhance user convenience and security.

One of the biggest highlights of the Honor X6e is its enormous 7,500mAh battery, which is among the largest available in its segment. The company claims the battery can deliver up to 29.6 hours of continuous video playback on a single charge, making it ideal for users who require extended battery life for entertainment, productivity, and travel.

The smartphone supports 45W wired fast charging, and Honor includes the compatible charger inside the retail box, allowing users to quickly recharge the large battery without needing to purchase an additional adapter.

Measuring 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.29mm and weighing approximately 207 grams, the Honor X6e balances a slim design with a high-capacity battery, offering a practical option for users seeking long-lasting performance at an affordable price.
