IIE Digital Desk: California-based Apple has rolled out the second public beta of watchOS 11, introducing the new Vitals App. According to MacRumors, this follows the initial public beta launched just a week ago.

To install watchOS 11, users need to sign up on Apple's beta software site and update their iPhones to the iOS 18 public beta. Afterward, they should open the Watch app on their iPhones, navigate to General, then Software Update, and select the watchOS 11 Public Beta option under Beta Updates.

WatchOS 11’s standout feature is the Vitals App, providing summaries of health metrics such as heart rate, sleep patterns, respiratory rate, and oxygen levels. It compares nightly data to previous weeks to identify irregularities.

Other notable updates include an improved Smart Stack with widgets like Translate and Shazam, smarter suggestions based on user habits, support for Live Activities, and enhancements to the Activity Ring. Users can set different goals and take breaks without confusion, with options to pause for a day, week, month, or longer. The update also features a redesigned Photos watch face, improvements to the Double Tap function, and additional enhancements in Messages.
