Positioned as a strong contender in the budget‑midrange segment, the device stands out with its massive 6,720 mAh battery and a 50 MP Sony-powered primary camera that also supports 5G connectivity.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC and runs Android 15 with Motorola’s Hello UI. Buyers can choose between 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage, expandable via microSD up to 1 TB. Three eye-catching color options—including Cosmic Sky, Golden Cypress, and Spellbound—are available through Flipkart and Motorola’s India website. 

A notable design feature is the 6.7-inch pOLED display offering Full HD+ resolution, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, delivering standout brightness and responsiveness for its class. 

Key strength of the Moto G86 Power 5G is its battery, which Motorola claims delivers up to 53 hours of usage on a single charge. It supports 33W fast charging, enabling a significant recharge in under an hour.

The camera setup centers around a 50 MP Sony LYTIA sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), complemented by an 8 MP ultra‑wide lens. On the front, a 32 MP selfie camera aims to enhance video calls and content creation. Additional features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Moto AI-powered enhancements. 

Durability is another highlight. Both the Moto G86 Power 5G and its sibling G86 feature IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and meet MIL‑STD 810H military‑grade standards. The phones also incorporate Gorilla Glass 7i protection and vegan leather back finishes. 

Earlier this week, Motorola had confirmed a July 30 launch in India, fueling anticipation about exact pricing. European models launched at around €329.99, equating to roughly ₹32,000, but pricing in India has been adjusted substantially below ₹16,000, making it among the most value-packed 5G devices in its segment.

Market watchers believe the Moto G86 Power 5G will directly compete with similarly priced models like the OnePlus Nord 4, Nothing Phone 3a, and Realme GT series. Its blend of a large battery, high-refresh display, and competitive camera make it particularly attractive to young users and heavy multimedia consumers. 

India is seeing a rapid increase in demand for 5G smartphones under ₹20,000. Motorola’s decision to bring advanced features—such as a high-end Sony camera sensor and battery endurance usually found in higher-end phones—into this bracket reflects the accelerating demand for premium experiences without a premium price. 

With four years of security updates and two years of Android upgrades promised, the G86 Power 5G aims to become a reliable daily driver. Its striking design, standout battery, and camera prowess place it in a strong position amid fierce competition.

Motorola will reportedly begin sales on July 30 via Flipkart and its online store, with flash sales and introductory discounts expected. Early availability could boost momentum during the upcoming festive sales season.
