IIE Digital Desk: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been enjoying the success of his recently released film ‘Dunki’ and now fans are waiting for him to announce his next project. If reports are to be believed, the superstar is now all set to collaborate with the iconic director Vishal Bhardwaj.

Hindustan Times reports that the upcoming project is anticipated to embody the quintessential style of Vishal Bhardwaj, offering thrilling and intricately woven storytelling—a departure from King Khan's usual cinematic persona.

Sources suggest that Khan is enthusiastic about this opportunity to venture into something fresh. He is reportedly captivated by the script, and talks between him and Bhardwaj are presently in progress.

In a recent mid-day interview, Bhardwaj disclosed that he and Shah Rukh Khan were in talks to collaborate on a film adaptation of the novel ‘2 States’, but it didn’t work out.

The filmmaker said, ‘We had differences over the setting of it. I wanted to set it not in a college but in a bank like ICICI. So, that’s where we were different. Shah Rukh wanted it in a different setting.’

The film was later made with Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles and was directed by Abhishek Varman.

The director also noted that both he and SRK share a mutual desire to collaborate. They've had discussions since ‘Jawan,’ and whenever they meet at events like birthdays or public functions, the idea of working together is rekindled. Bhardwaj revealed, ‘He consistently expresses, and I concur, that we must create a film together.’

On the work front, Vishal’s two projects were released on OTT platforms: ‘Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley’ and the film ‘Khufiya’.
