Actors are constantly surrounded by cameras, flashing lights and paparazzi, often finding themselves under the spotlight wherever they go. The constant presence of photographers means that celebrities also have to remain alert at all times. From time to time, several stars have expressed their frustration over intrusive paparazzi culture, particularly when photographers focus their cameras on actresses’ backs and cleavage.

Actresses from the younger generation have often spoken about facing such uncomfortable situations, but even senior actresses have not been spared. Recently, veteran Bollywood actress Neetu Kapoor found herself in a particularly awkward situation on the streets of Mumbai. However, the veteran actor did not remain silent and instead gave the paparazzi a sharp lesson in manners with a sarcastic response.

At public appearances and events, paparazzi photographers are often seen asking actresses to turn around and pose with their backs towards the cameras. The practice of deliberately focusing on certain angles has faced strong criticism from several actresses in the film industry. Celebrities including Janhvi Kapoor, Neha Bhasin, Neha Dhupia, Ayesha Khan, Rashami Desai, Shanaya Kapoor and Manushi Chhillar have previously expressed their opposition to such paparazzi behaviour.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has also spoken out in support of his female colleagues over such issues. Now, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor has also reacted strongly after finding herself in a similar situation. Hearing the photographers ask her to pose from behind, Neetu reportedly responded sarcastically, “You like the back so much, don't you?”

A video of the incident has been circulating on social media. The footage shows Neetu Kapoor leaving an establishment and walking towards her car when photographers surrounding her reportedly asked her to pose with her back towards them. Instead of complying with the request, the veteran actress immediately turned around and responded in a sarcastic manner.

“You like the back so much, don't you?” she asked the paparazzi. Her pointed response appeared to leave the photographers present at the spot visibly uncomfortable. Neetu then got into her car and closed the door.

The incident has since triggered a wider discussion on social media, with many users criticising the paparazzi for their approach towards actresses. Neetu Kapoor’s response has also drawn attention as yet another instance of a senior Bollywood actress openly objecting to intrusive photography and the demand for uncomfortable poses.
