Jaishankar said he highly appreciated President Parmelin’s vision of further strengthening the India-Switzerland partnership on the basis of the commitments under the India-EFTA TEPA. President Guy Parmelin arrived in New Delhi on Monday morning as part of his three-day official visit to India. Soon after his arrival in the national capital, the Swiss President was accorded a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He received a Guard of Honour, marking the formal beginning of his official engagements in India.
The visit comes at a significant time for India and the European Free Trade Association countries as both sides work to build on the commitments under the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement. The agreement is aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties and creating greater opportunities for cooperation.
