Bara sat (July 28,2023) : Train services were disrupted in Barasat on Friday morning due to a signal failure. The failure occurred at around 5:30 AM, and affected both up and down trains on the Bongaon and Hasnabad lines. As a result, passengers faced significant delays and inconvenience. Many trains were cancelled or diverted, and those that were running were running late.

The signal failure was reportedly caused by a technical glitch. Eastern Railway officials said that they were working to fix the problem, and that train services were expected to resume normal operation by the afternoon.

In the meantime, passengers were advised to check the status of their trains before traveling. The signal failure is the latest in a series of problems to hit train services in West Bengal. In recent months, there have been several instances of train derailments and signal failures. These problems have raised concerns about the safety of train travel in the state. Passengers have demanded that the government take steps to improve the safety of train services.
