Police Arrest Prime Accused in TMC Leader Dhananjay Chowbey Murder Case
West Bengal (June 28,2023) :The police in West Bengal's Bardhaman district have arrested the prime accused in the murder of TMC leader Dhananjay Chowbey. The accused, identified as Bablu Singh, was arrested on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Chowbey was shot dead on June 10, 2023, in Bardhaman. He was a close associate of TMC leader Anubrata Mondal.
The police said that Singh was arrested from his hideout in Jharkhand. He was carrying a reward of Rs. 1 lakh. The police said that Singh confessed to the murder and said that he was hired by a rival political party to kill Chowbey. The arrest of Singh is a major breakthrough in the case. The police are now questioning him to find out the motive behind the murder and to identify the other people involved in the crime.
