IIE DIGITAL DESK :  May 7, 2026: OnePlus has officially expanded its Nord lineup in India with the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, a budget-focused 5G smartphone designed to deliver strong performance, long battery life, and smooth everyday usability in the mid-range segment.

The newly launched device is positioned as a more affordable alternative in the Nord series and is expected to attract users looking for a balance of performance and value. The smartphone will be available in India starting May 12, while initial sales follow shortly after the launch event, according to company announcements and retail listings.

The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite comes with a 6.72-inch display offering Full HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz, making it suitable for gaming and smooth scrolling experiences. The display also supports adaptive refresh rate technology, adjusting dynamically based on usage to improve battery efficiency. 

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor built on a 4nm architecture, paired with up to 8GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The chipset is designed to handle multitasking and gaming while maintaining power efficiency, with performance claims placing it above the one-million mark on synthetic benchmark scores.

One of the biggest highlights of the smartphone is its large 7,000mAh battery, which is designed to last up to two days on a single charge under typical usage. The device also supports 45W fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up the battery when needed. OnePlus has also claimed long-term battery health retention over several years of usage.

On the camera front, the Nord CE 6 Lite features a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with support for 4K video recording, while the front houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera aimed at improved portrait and video calling quality. The camera setup is designed to deliver balanced performance for casual photography and social media content creation. 

The smartphone is expected to be priced in the sub-₹25,000 segment in India, making it a competitive option in the crowded mid-range 5G market. It will be available in multiple colour options and storage variants, catering to different user preferences. 

With its combination of a high-refresh-rate display, large battery, and improved performance chipset, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite strengthens OnePlus’s position in India’s budget 5G smartphone segment and continues the brand’s focus on delivering “fast and smooth” user experiences at accessible price points.
