Dinhata (July 07,2023) : Three BJP workers were shot and another worker was injured after miscreants attacked them in North Bengal on Monday. The attack took place in the district of Darjeeling, where panchayat elections are scheduled to be held on Friday. The victims have been identified as Suresh Sharma, Suresh Singh, and Krishna Mohan Das. They were all taken to a local hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. They have also arrested one person in connection with the attack.

The BJP has condemned the attack and has demanded that the state government take action against the perpetrators. The party has also called for a bandh in Darjeeling on Tuesday to protest the attack. The attack on the BJP workers is a serious matter and it comes at a time when panchayat elections are being held in West Bengal. The state government must take swift action to ensure that the elections are free and fair and that the people of West Bengal can vote without fear.
