IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Murshidabad, September 24: Aam Janata Unnayan Party chairman Humayun Kabir began a sit-in protest outside Rejinagar police station on Thursday morning, protesting what he described as police harassment and the arrest of party workers and supporters. The protest was organised as part of the party's opposition to the alleged treatment of its members by the police.

Speaking during the protest, Kabir expressed anger over what he claimed was continued harassment of his party workers and supporters. He alleged that several members were being subjected to police action and were being arrested in what he described as false cases.

Kabir further alleged that male party workers were being pressured to leave their homes because of police action. He also claimed that women associated with the party were being threatened and warned against supporting or working for his political organisation.
