West Bengal (July,08,2023) : West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose visited a polling booth in Kolkata on Saturday to witness the voting in the panchayat elections. Bose, who is the constitutional head of the state, was accompanied by senior officials from the Election Commission.
Bose cast his vote at a polling booth in the Behala Municipality area. He then interacted with voters and election officials. He also expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the elections. The panchayat elections are being held in West Bengal in four phases. The first phase of polling was held on Saturday, and the remaining three phases will be held on July 12, 19, and 26.
