Kolkata (July 14,2023) : The Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Congress Party, and the Indian Secular Front (ISF) staged a joint rally in Kolkata on Sunday to condemn the violence that has been taking place in the ongoing panchayat elections in West Bengal. The rally was held at the Brigade Parade Ground, and it was attended by thousands of people. The leaders of the three parties spoke out against the violence, and they called for a fair and peaceful election.

The CPM's Biman Bose said that the violence was "a deliberate attempt to suppress the people's voice." He said that the Trinamool Congress was "trying to rig the election," and he called on the Election Commission to intervene. The Congress's Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that the violence was "a blot on democracy." He said that the TMC was "using muscle power to intimidate voters," and he called on the people of West Bengal to "stand up against the violence."

The ISF's Maulana Abbas Siddiqui said that the violence was "a crime against humanity." He said that the TMC was "trying to silence the voice of dissent," and he called on the people of West Bengal to "reject the TMC's violence." The rally ended with a call for a peaceful and fair panchayat election. The leaders of the three parties said that they would continue to fight against the violence, and they called on the people of West Bengal to "vote for democracy."
