IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi, September 23: Vivo’s upcoming X500 Ultra is reportedly being lined up for a launch in the first half of 2027, with March-April emerging as the expected timeframe. The flagship smartphone is likely to arrive after the recently introduced Vivo X500 series in China and could bring further upgrades, particularly in the camera department.

According to reports, Vivo Vice President of Product Huang Tao indicated a March-April 2027 timeframe for the X500 Ultra during a media interaction following the X500 series launch. However, the company has not yet officially announced the smartphone’s complete specifications, pricing or market availability.

The X500 Ultra was not unveiled alongside the Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max at the company's September launch event in China. The upcoming Ultra model is expected to occupy the top position in the X-series lineup.

Camera technology is likely to remain a major focus of the device. Earlier reports suggested that Vivo has been evaluating advanced 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera sensors for the X500 Ultra. However, details regarding the final camera configuration have not been officially confirmed.

The smartphone is expected to succeed the Vivo X300 Ultra and could introduce upgrades across imaging, processing performance, display technology and battery capabilities. More details are likely to emerge as the reported launch window approaches.
