IIE DIGITAL DESK ;  June 4: Motorola has officially launched the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ in India, expanding its Edge 70 series lineup with a new premium mid-range smartphone focused on performance, durability, and advanced camera capabilities.

The device has been introduced as the most powerful variant in the Edge 70 series, offering significant upgrades over the standard Edge 70 Pro, particularly in imaging and camera performance. The smartphone will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and offline retail stores.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is expected to be priced in the range of ₹47,999 to ₹56,999 depending on the RAM and storage configurations. Some reports suggest a base variant price around ₹47,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, positioning it in the premium mid-range segment.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ features a 6.8-inch 1.5K curved Extreme AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals and high brightness levels. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring strong performance for gaming and multitasking.

On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony LYT-710 primary sensor. The biggest highlight is the inclusion of a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, along with support for up to 50x AI-powered digital zoom, making it a strong camera-centric device in its category.

The phone also packs a massive 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support, designed to deliver extended usage and quick recharging.

Motorola has added IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD durability certification, making the device highly resistant to harsh conditions. It also runs on Android 16-based Hello UI and includes features like stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio for enhanced multimedia experience.

The phone is available in multiple premium Pantone finishes, including textured and leather-inspired designs, giving it a distinct flagship-style aesthetic.

With its combination of a powerful chipset, advanced periscope camera system, large battery, and rugged durability, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is positioned as a strong competitor in the upper mid-range smartphone segment in India, targeting users who want flagship-like features without paying flagship prices.

The launch further strengthens Motorola’s Edge series lineup, especially in the competitive premium Android smartphone market.
