IIE Digital Desk:Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the 2023 Canadian Open, opting to rest after a long and grueling season.

The world No. 1 has played in 15 tournaments this year, reaching the finals of 10 of them. He won Wimbledon and the Italian Open, and was runner-up at the Australian Open and the French Open.

Djokovic said that he is feeling fatigued and needs some time to rest and recover. He is also expected to miss the Cincinnati Masters next week.

The Canadian Open is a Masters 1000 event, and Djokovic is the defending champion. He has won the tournament six times in his career.

Djokovic's withdrawal is a big blow to the tournament, but it is understandable given his heavy workload this year. He is still the favorite to win the US Open in August.
