IIE Digital Desk: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert and forecasting heavy rains in several regions such as Pune, Kerala, and other states today. The IMD had warned residents to support for the significant rainfall, which may lead to localized flooding and disruptions in daily activities. Authorities had been advised to take necessary precautions to ensures public safety and minimize potential damage. 

In Mumbai, "yellow"alert had been issued due to the heavy rainfall. The weather department also predicted in these states such as Kerala, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and other states. In Maharashtra, due to the depression over in Southwest Rajasthan and the neighbourhood, heavy rainfall were expected in overall parts on Monday, August 5 and with the gradual reduction. In Pune, on the past days, due to the heavy rain in these state and caused of waterlogging. In Kerala, in some of the 6 "yellow" districts, such as Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannnur, and Kasargod. In other states, due to the heavy rainfall will occur in these places such as Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana.

The warning highlights the possibility of waterlogging in urban areas and disruptions to transportation services. Residents in the affected areas were urged to stay updated with the latest weather information and follow any advisories issued by local authorities. Emergency services are on high alert to respond any adversed situations. The IMD continues to monitor the weather patterns closely and will provide further updates as necessary to keep the public informed about the evolving situation.
