Family of Pragya Deepa Halder Demands CBI Probe into Her Death
Kolkata (June 30,2023) : The family of Pragya Deepa Halder, a doctor who was found dead in her apartment in Kolkata on June 22, has demanded a CBI investigation into her death. They are not satisfied with the police investigation, which has so far concluded that she committed suicide.
The family's lawyer, Liton Maitra, said that there are a number of inconsistencies in the police investigation, including the fact that Pragya Deepa's body was found with her hands tied behind her back. He also said that the police have not been able to provide a clear motive for her suicide.
The family believes that Pragya Deepa was murdered, and they are calling on the CBI to take over the investigation. They believe that the CBI is more likely to be able to conduct a fair and impartial investigation.
