Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Back Home After 13 Days in Hospital

Kolkata (August 10,2023) : Former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee was discharged from hospital on Wednesday after 13 days of treatment. He was admitted to the state-run SSKM Hospital on July 20 with a lung infection and kidney problems.

Bhattacharjee, 83, was put on ventilator support for a few days, but his condition improved gradually. He was shifted out of the ICU on July 27 and was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. Speaking to reporters after his discharge, Bhattacharjee said he was feeling much better. He thanked the doctors and nurses for their treatment and care. He also thanked the people of West Bengal for their prayers and good wishes.

Bhattacharjee is the longest-serving Chief Minister of West Bengal. He served as the Chief Minister from 2000 to 2011. He is a veteran politician and a popular figure in West Bengal. His health condition has been a cause of concern for his supporters in recent years. He has been hospitalized several times in the past few years. However, he has always made a full recovery. Bhattacharjee's return home is a relief to his supporters. They are hoping that he will make a full recovery and continue to be active in politics.
