Wife of Kalighater Kaku, Sujay Krishna Bhadra, passes away
Kalighat,West Bengal (June 27,2023) : Bani Bhadra, wife of renowned photographer Sujay Krishna Bhadra, popularly known as Kalighater Kaku, passed away on Tuesday morning after a prolonged illness. She was 65 years old. Bani was a homemaker and had been taking care of her ailing husband for the past few years. She was also a talented artist and had her own painting class.
\Sujay Krishna Bhadra is a well-known photographer who has been documenting the life and culture of Kolkata for over 40 years. He is known for his iconic photographs of Kalighat, the famous Kali temple in Kolkata. Bani and Sujay were married for over 40 years and had two daughters. They were a well-known couple in Kolkata's cultural circles. Bani's death has come as a shock to the Kolkata art and cultural community. She was a respected figure and her loss will be deeply felt.
