West Bengal Increases Home Guard Retirement Benefits
IIE Digital Desk : The West Bengal government announced an increase in retirement allowances for home guards, raising it from ₹3 lakhs to ₹5 lakhs. This decision, revealed in a recent Nabanna notification, aims to provide greater financial security to the over 18,000 home guards in Kolkata and the state. Previously, the retirement allowance was significantly lower at ₹50,000. This move is expected to alleviate post-retirement concerns for home guards.
