Despite warnings from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, hotel prices continue to fluctuate drastically, with costs doubling or even tripling compared to weekdays. Visitors like Rajib from Ashoknagar and Priyanka from Chinsurah report paying exorbitant fees for subpar services. The Digha-Shankarpur Development Authority claims measures are in place to address complaints, but tourists remain dissatisfied with the lack of consistent regulation.
