Bardhaman & Katoa (July 06,2023) : The Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) have been accused of using children in the panchayat poll campaign in West Bengal. The allegations were made by the Child Rights Protection Forum, which said that it had seen children being used to carry party flags, shout slogans, and distribute pamphlets. The forum has also alleged that the children were being given money to participate in the campaign. The TMC and the CPM have denied the allegations, saying that they do not use children in their election campaigns. However, the forum has said that it has video footage of children being used by the two parties.
