Police sources, the arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammed Khaled Ansari, 33, Mokaddam Ansari, 23, Mohammed Arshad Haque, 24, and Saheb Sheikh. All four are residents of the Raghunathganj police station area in Murshidabad. Police reportedly received confidential information suggesting that narcotics had been stored in the vicinity of the bus stand and that an illegal drug transaction might be taking place.

The tip-off, police personnel began keeping watch on the area before launching the operation. During the raid, the officers detained four youths on suspicion of their alleged involvement in the suspected drug trade. A subsequent search reportedly led to the recovery of a total of 300 grams of heroin from their possession, police said.

The seizure has prompted investigators to examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged possession of the narcotics. Police are attempting to establish where the heroin originated and whether the arrested youths were planning to transport it to another location for distribution. Investigators are also looking into whether the seized consignment was intended for local buyers or formed part of a wider trafficking operation.

A key focus of the investigation is the possibility of links between the arrested youths and a larger drug trafficking network. Police are questioning the accused to determine whether other individuals were involved in procuring, storing or distributing the narcotics. Investigators are also trying to establish the specific roles allegedly played by each of the four men and whether the operation was connected to other suspected drug transactions in the region.

Police sources said the four accused were produced before a court on Monday. The investigating officers reportedly sought their police custody for further questioning as they continue to gather information about the alleged drug operation. Further investigation is under way to trace the supply chain and determine whether more arrests may follow.

The raid is part of the police response to information about suspected narcotics activity in the Raghunathganj bus stand area. However, the precise source of the heroin, its intended destination and the alleged involvement of the accused in a wider network are yet to be established through the investigation.

With 300 grams of heroin seized and four youths arrested, the case has drawn attention to suspected drug trafficking in the Murshidabad area. Police are continuing their investigation, and further details are expected to emerge as the questioning and legal proceedings progress.
