West Bengal (July 24,2023) : The passengers have been complaining about the poor condition of the trains and the lack of punctuality for a long time. They say that they have been forced to travel in overcrowded and dirty trains, and that they often have to wait for hours for trains to arrive.

The protest began on Monday morning when a group of passengers blocked a train at the Kharagpur railway station. The protesters refused to let the train leave until their demands were met. The protest caused major disruption to train services in the Kharagpur Division. Several trains were delayed or canceled, and passengers were stranded at stations.

The railway authorities eventually agreed to meet with the protesters to discuss their demands. The protesters have called off the protest for now, but they have warned that they will resume the protest if their demands are not met. This protest is a sign of the growing discontent among passengers of the Eastern Railway. The railway authorities need to take steps to improve the service in order to prevent further protests.
