IIE DIGITAL DESK ; West Midnapore, May 8 :  West Midnapore district on Friday after a cache of live crude bombs was recovered from a bushy area in Balarampur under the Baramura region of Garbeta. The recovery triggered widespread panic among local residents and prompted immediate police action in the area.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, police personnel conducted a search operation and discovered several live bombs concealed in dense bushes. The sudden recovery raised serious concerns about possible unlawful activities in the region.

The discovery, a bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot. The team began the process of safely defusing the explosives to prevent any accidental detonation. Authorities confirmed that the situation was brought under control without any immediate casualties or damage.

Police officials have launched a full-scale investigation to determine who had stored the explosives and for what purpose they were intended. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
