Opposition giving tough fight to TMC in Mamata Banerjee's maternal area of Kusumba in Rampurhat
Kusumba,West Bengal (June 27,2023) : The opposition parties are giving a tough fight to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Mamata Banerjee's maternal area of Kusumba in Rampurhat district of West Bengal. In the 2018 panchayat elections, the TMC had won all the seats in the Kusumba block. However, this time, the opposition parties are confident of making a dent in the TMC's stronghold. The BJP, the Congress, and the Left Front are all actively campaigning in Kusumba. They are targeting the TMC's alleged misgovernance and corruption.
The TMC, on the other hand, is trying to downplay the opposition's challenge. The party's leaders are saying that the people of Kusumba are happy with the TMC's rule and that they will once again vote for the party in the upcoming elections. The Kusumba assembly constituency is scheduled to go to the polls in the next few months.
