One arrested in girl student's murder case in Siliguri
Siliguri (August 22,2023) : Police have arrested one person in connection with the murder of a girl student in Matigara area of Siliguri on Tuesday. The victim, identified as a 17-year-old girl, was found dead with her throat slit near a railway track in Matigara.
The police have identified the arrested person as a 22-year-old youth, who is a resident of the same area. The youth has been booked under charges of murder and has been remanded to police custody. The police are interrogating the youth to gather more information about the crime. They are also trying to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
