New Safety Guidelines Issued for School Buses and Cars in West Bengal

These measures include mandatory seat belts, prohibition of tinted windows, and the presence of a designated transport manager. Buses must be painted yellow with blue borders, feature tracking devices, panic buttons, and speed limiters. Additionally, thorough background checks for drivers and regular eye tests are required. Schools must display emergency contact information and maintain proper vehicle upkeep.
