Bhangar (July 31,2023) : Article 144 is a law that prohibits assembly of more than four people in an area. It was imposed in Bhangar in March 2023 after violence broke out in the area over land acquisition.

The state government has said that the situation in Bhangar is now under control and that there is no need for Article 144. The government has also said that it will take steps to ensure that the land acquisition process is carried out in a transparent and fair manner.
