IIE DIGITAL DESK : June 19, 2025 — Poco is set to unveil its highly anticipated Poco F7 5G in India on June 24, and key specifications have already been confirmed ahead of the official launch. The latest flagship‑killer promises high-end performance — powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 — and comes loaded with a massive 7,550 mAh battery offering 90 W fast charging and 22.5 W reverse charging.

Poco has confirmed via its Flipkart microsite and X posts that the F7 will debut with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, the latest affordable flagship chipset from Qualcomm, rated at up to 3.2 GHz peak clock speeds, scoring over 2.1 million on AnTuTu benchmarks. The phone will pair the chipset with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage — promising snappy performance. A 3D IceLoop vapour‑cooling system and AI‑controlled thermal management aim to keep the chipset running cool, even under intense loads .

A standout highlight, especially in India, is the phone’s huge 7,550 mAh battery, making it one of the largest battery capacities ever seen in the country. It supports 90 W wired fast charging and 22.5 W reverse wired charging, along with promises of maintaining 80% battery health after 1,600 cycles .This is a notable upgrade over the global model's 6,500 mAh pack .

The Poco F7 will sport a 6.83‑inch 1.5K OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and an ultra‑bright peak of 3,200 nits — ideal for outdoor visibility . Design cues show a bold and possibly transparent gaming-themed backpanel in its limited‑edition variant .

Photography will be handled by a dual rear camera setup, featuring a 50 MP Sony IMX882/LYT‑600 sensor with OIS, and an 8 MP ultra‑wide lens, along with a 20 MP front camera .The device will also carry an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensor, and infrared port .

The phone will support 5G (both SA/NSA), Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and multiple navigation systems including NavIC. It’s confirmed to ship with Android 15 layered under Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 .

Industry sources and Poco’s teaser hint the F7 will land in India below ₹35,000 (~US $405), with the 12 GB + 256 GB variant expected around ₹30,000–₹35,000 . This pricing positions it as a direct challenger to devices like the Nothing Phone 3, which also uses Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 but at a higher price point.

Early Geekbench leaks revealed the chipset scores around 1,937 single-core and 6,021 multi-core, which is solid but slightly tempered compared to raw potential — indicating Poco might be optimizing for battery life and thermals at this stage.  Final performance could see an uplift after software fine‑tuning.

The Poco F7 5G promises flagship-like power at mid-range prices, with standout features including the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, giant 7,550 mAh battery, premium 120 Hz 1.5K OLED display, durable IP68 build, and solid optics — all launching June 24 in India.
