IIE DIGITAL DESK : Motorola is poised to introduce its latest flagship smartphone, the Edge 60 Pro, to the Indian market on April 30, 2025. This launch follows the device's global debut and marks a significant step in Motorola's strategy to integrate advanced AI capabilities into its product lineup. The Edge 60 Pro is notable for its collaboration with Perplexity AI, offering users a three-month complimentary subscription to the Perplexity Pro service, enhancing the device's AI-driven functionalities.

The Edge 60 Pro boasts a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED quad-curved display, delivering a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels. With a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, the screen promises vibrant visuals and smooth interactions. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, ensuring durability against scratches and minor impacts. Additionally, the device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, signifying robust resistance to dust and water ingress . 

Under the hood, the Edge 60 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme processor, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. This configuration is designed to handle demanding applications and multitasking with ease. The device operates on Motorola's Hello UI, based on Android 15, providing users with a clean and intuitive interface . 

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Edge 60 Pro's camera system. It features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor (Sony LYT 700C), a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 50x digital zoom. The front-facing camera is a 50MP shooter, catering to high-resolution selfies and video calls . 

Battery life is another highlight, with the device housing a substantial 6,000mAh battery. It supports 90W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging, ensuring users can quickly replenish the battery and stay connected throughout the day .

Pre-orders for the Motorola Edge 60 Pro will commence on April 30, 2025, via Flipkart and Motorola's official website. While the official pricing is yet to be announced, industry insiders suggest a starting price around ₹32,000, aligning with the launch price of its predecessor, the Edge 50 Pro .
