IIE  Digital Desk:Jio, backed by Reliance, has introduced JioTag, a Bluetooth tracking device in India. Similar to Apple AirTags, this affordable tracker enables users to locate their belongings using Bluetooth technology. By connecting the device to the JioThings app on their smartphones, users can conveniently attach the tag to items like handbags, wallets, or any other possessions they wish to monitor. Weighing only 9.5 grams, the JioTag is lightweight and user-friendly.

JioTag price in India, where to buy

The Apple alternative JioTag price in India is Rs 749 on the Jio website, though the MRP is Rs 2,499. The listing was first spotted by MSP. There is also a cash-on-delivery option for select pin codes. In comparison, the Apple AirTag costs Rs 3,490 for a single tracker.

Jio is offering an extra battery and lanyard cable in the box, which makes it easier for users to attach the JioTag to their belongings.

JioTag is powered by a replaceable CR2032 battery, which offers a backup of a year.

JioTag offers a range of up to 20 meters indoors and 50 meters outdoors. The JioTag connects via Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.

JioTag can be used to locate misplaced items. Users can simply double-tap the JioTag to ring the phone, even in silent mode. 

JioTag will warn users if they leave their wallets, keys or any other belongings behind along with the accurate location where they left them. 

JioTag features the Community Find feature. This is especially useful when users cannot find their belongings even at the last disconnection location. They can mark their JioTag as lost on the JioThings app and Jio Community Find will search and reports back the site of the lost JioTag.

The JioTag measures 3.82×3.82×0.72 cm  and weighs just 9.5 grams.
