IIE Digital Desk : Alcatel is poised to re-enter the Indian smartphone market with the upcoming launch of the Alcatel V3 Ultra. This device marks the brand's first release in India since 2022 and is expected to be a mid-range offering featuring stylus support, a triple-camera setup, and innovative display technology.

Madhav Sheth, leading Alcatel's India operations, confirmed the device's name and design by sharing images of the retail box on social media. The packaging highlights Alcatel's French origins and emphasizes its "Made in India" status, aligning with the government's Make in India initiative. The retail box reveals a sleek design with a circular camera module housing three lenses and an LED flash, along with a stylus pen, suggesting enhanced productivity features.

The Alcatel V3 Ultra is expected to feature a flat display with a centrally located punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. While specific details about the display technology remain under wraps, teasers suggest the inclusion of TCL's proprietary NXTPAPER technology, offering multiple use-case-based display modes like Read, Watch, Scroll, and Create.

The stylus is anticipated to support functionalities such as sketching, signing, scribbling, and highlighting, catering to users seeking enhanced productivity on their smartphones.

Alcatel's return to the Indian market is facilitated through a partnership with NxtCell India, with manufacturing handled by Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies. This collaboration aims to establish a localized manufacturing ecosystem, reflecting global standards while being aligned with India’s 'Make in India' vision.

The Alcatel V3 Ultra will be available for purchase via Flipkart's main platform and its quick-delivery service, Flipkart Minutes.

As Alcatel prepares to unveil the V3 Ultra, the smartphone is generating buzz for its combination of elegant design and functional features. With its anticipated mid-range pricing, the Alcatel V3 Ultra is poised to offer a compelling alternative to existing stylus-equipped smartphones in the Indian market.
