Local Athlete Expresses Disappointment Over Lack of Support for Pan Pacific Masters Games

IIE Digital Desk : Wandashisha Dewkhait, a resident of Nongsder, Ribhoi District, has voiced her frustration about representing Australia in the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m events at the upcoming 13th Pan Pacific Masters Games this November. In a recent press statement, Dewkhait shared her despair over the lack of support she has received. \"I don\'t know whether I will receive any assistance from the government because the government has not invited me to speak,\" she said. Dewkhait and Kong Kmoin are the two athletes selected from their country to compete in Australia. While the government has promised assistance to Kong Kmoin, the support has yet to materialize. Dewkhait emphasized that both athletes should receive equal assistance since they were selected from the same competition and will be competing together. Despite these challenges, Dewkhait remains committed to her training regimen, preparing diligently to compete in this major tournamment
