IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi, July 25: Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday once again launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the alleged NEET examination paper leak controversy. Accusing the Central Government of suppressing protesting students instead of addressing their concerns, Rahul Gandhi said the government had shut down everything except the paper leaks that triggered nationwide outrage.

In a post on social media platform X on Saturday morning, Rahul Gandhi criticized the government's handling of the student protests and alleged that the Modi government was resorting to stringent measures to curb demonstrations while failing to prevent examination paper leaks.

In his post, Rahul Gandhi wrote, “Shut the Metro, shut the roads, shut the shops, shut the internet, shut the food!” He alleged that instead of accepting the legitimate demands of students protesting over the NEET paper leak issue, the government was imposing harsh restrictions and taking what he described as repressive measures against them.

Taking a direct swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi remarked that there was one thing the Prime Minister had failed to stop—the leakage of examination question papers. “Modiji has not been able to stop one thing, and that is paper leaks,” he wrote, intensifying the Opposition's criticism of the Centre over the controversy.

Rahul Gandhi's latest remarks come at a time when protests by students over the alleged NEET paper leak have continued in several parts of the country, particularly in the national capital. The demonstrations have witnessed heightened security arrangements, restrictions on movement in several areas, and clashes between protesters and law enforcement agencies.

The Congress leader has consistently accused the Central Government of failing to safeguard the integrity of public examinations and has demanded accountability for the alleged irregularities.
