Popli was accused of pleading in a bribe exchanged for favorable actions related to his official duties. The CBI's operation were aimed to catched down on corrupts practices and ensured an accountability in public sector undertakings. The complaint, which have executed in a projection at Leh, had been submitted with a written complaint against the DGM and demanded with an advantage of Rs 7.40 lakh for allowing the contract item.
